SAN PELLEGRINO TERME CELEBRATES TIMELESS ELEGANCE AMID HISTORIC CARS, VINTAGE MOTORCYCLES, AND THE BERGAMO LANDSCAPE

From July 10 to 12, San Pellegrino Terme will once again become one of the main Italian reference points for historic motoring enthusiasts thanks to the Concours d’Elegance City of San Pellegrino Terme, an event included in the ASI Circuito Tricolore calendar. An event that over the years has managed to stand out for its ability to combine vintage cars and motorcycles on a single grand stage dedicated to the style, history, and culture of motoring.

Organized by the Club Orobico Auto e Moto d’Epoca of Bergamo, the event highlights not only the most representative vehicles of the twentieth century, but also the territory that hosts them. The panoramic roads of the Orobie, the historic villas, and the unmistakable Liberty charm of San Pellegrino Terme become an integral part of the experience, transforming the competition into a true journey through Italian heritage.

The 2026 edition will unfold over three days filled with events. The opening will be dedicated to historic motorcycles, the protagonists of a tourist itinerary that will cross some of the most suggestive scenery in the province of Bergamo. The route will touch Passo Zambla, Clusone, Lovere, Riva di Solto, Endine, and Selvino, offering participants the opportunity to combine the pleasure of driving with the discovery of one of Lombardy’s most fascinating territories.

The central moment of the event will be Saturday at Villa Pesenti Agliardi in Paladina. The evaluations of the ASI jury, the exhibition of the cars in competition, and the presentation of the selected models will take place here. In parallel, the motorcycles will be engaged in a dedicated itinerary before reaching the villa in the afternoon, bringing to life a spectacular meeting between two and four wheels inside the historic residence.

Alongside the official competition, the Fuoriconcorso returns, an initiative that has now become a highly anticipated appointment for enthusiasts. Unlike the main competition, the rally is open to all owners of historic vehicles without the need for prior selection. It will be the public who decides the most appreciated vehicles, rewarding not only the historical value but also the passion of the collectors who contribute every day to the preservation of the Italian motoring heritage.

The grand finale will be hosted in the scenic setting of the Grand Hotel of San Pellegrino Terme, an authentic symbol of the Italian Belle Époque. The elegant Liberty architecture, the monumental staircases, and the large historic park will offer a unique environment for the final exhibition and the award ceremony, ideally returning the building to the glory of the era when it represented one of the most exclusive destinations for European tourism.

Three major themes will characterize this edition of the Concours:

  • The first will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Automotoclub Storico Italiano, through a selection of models presented in 1966, the year the Federation was founded.
  • The second will pay tribute to the cars that embodied the style and charm of the Dolce Vita, a symbol of economic boom Italy and international elegance.
  • The third will be dedicated to the centenary of Carrozzeria Touring, one of the most prestigious signatures in the history of the Italian automobile, author of some of the finest bodies ever made.

Among the most anticipated protagonists is the 1967 Lancia Flaminia GT, a symbol car of the ASI Net-Zero Classicproject, an initiative that demonstrates how historic motoring can look to the future through sustainable solutions. In fact, the car will be the protagonist of a 10,000-kilometer test drive powered by bio-gasoline, confirming ASI’s commitment to the research of alternative fuels compatible with the preservation of historic vehicles.

The Concours d’Elegance City of San Pellegrino Terme thus confirms itself as much more than a simple exhibition of vintage cars and motorcycles. It is an event that tells the story of Italian design, the history of the automobile, the value of restoration, and the beauty of the territories that frame these authentic works of art in motion. An appointment capable of attracting collectors, enthusiasts, and visitors, offering a perfect balance between culture, tourism, and motoring passion.
