VINTAGE ENGINES AS PROTAGONISTS IN ROME: MILLENNIUM EXPO RETURNS AMIDST HISTORY, PASSION, AND ENTERTAINMENT

Two days among legendary cars, rare spare parts, and motoring culture

On April 18 and 19, 2026, Rome’s Ippodromo Capannelle will transform into the beating heart of historic motoring with the 42nd edition of Millennium Expo, the most important event in Central-Southern Italy dedicated to vintage cars, motorcycles, and spare parts.

In a unique setting, immersed in greenery and enriched by vast indoor and outdoor exhibition spaces, enthusiasts and collectors will be able to explore an extensive display of historic vehicles, stands specializing in parts and accessories, as well as an interesting selection of vintage models and memorabilia. The event represents a reference point not only for those who own a vintage vehicle but also for those looking to get closer to this world made of attention to detail, research, and authentic passion.

Special events and anniversaries: the timeless charm of great models

The 2026 program stands out for a series of unmissable appointments. Among the most anticipated moments are the celebrations dedicated to automotive icons: the 50th anniversary of the Volkswagen Golf GTI and the 30th anniversary of symbolic models such as the BMW Z3, Mercedes-Benz SLK, Porsche Boxster, and Jaguar XK8.

Alongside the celebrations, there is also room for in-depth analysis with a seminar dedicated to “youngtimers,” which are increasingly sought after in the collector market, and a conference promoted by the Italian Motorcycle Federation regarding the documentary heritage of historic motorcycling in Lazio. There will be no shortage of spectacular and engaging moments: from the mini obstacle circuit featuring Beetles from the Italian Volkswagen Registry to the atmospheric parade of 90s roadsters accompanied by the election of Miss Pin Up.

To complete the experience, special attention is given to federated clubs and enthusiasts: free parking within the exhibition area for historic vehicles and discounted entry for members of major industry associations, including the Automobile Club d’Italia, Automotoclub Storico Italiano, and national clubs dedicated to Vespa and Lambretta. Millennium Expo thus confirms itself not just as an exhibition, but as a true cultural event capable of uniting different generations under the sign of passion for timeless engines.
